Eager to see how playable generals look. It's weird that they're acting like it's a mystery when the twitter header shows them and they appear at the end of the trailer.

I hope everyone gets a chance to understand how great Magolor is.

When the PS4 version came out they let people make a copy of their PC account for a limited time, maybe they'll do that again, but there's no cross comparability or anything

Yea I’ve only played a few hours on Xbox after hearing it was coming to switch. I had a buddy run me through some stuff and there’s a lot to pick up mechanics wise but the core gameplay of just killing mobs was fun. I figure switch will have a lot of first timers so it won’t be bad to start off

it's not that I don't want it to be difficult, I've just never been a fan of that sort of "which one of you gets hit first" type difficulty, if that makes sense

that said, I'm pretty sure some of my armor was hilariously outdated and I'm taking less damage now so v:v:v I see a lot of potential in some of these necromancer skills, though I also feel like the skelemans are like... way more powerful than anything else? Anyway I'm only in Act II but right now I'm having a lot of fun with a "run in and explode everything" build with bone armor, close quarters corpse explosion, death nova etc.

I have no idea but it's genuinely hilarious

Just for kicks here's the lead up and my own goofy rear end speculation.
After his defeat in returns to dreamland Magolor started opening up amusement parks in dreamland to apologize for being a shitheel. Next few games and spin offs were presented as if he had made them/was the host. Come to Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, the free game.

Magolor is suddenly wearing white and is charging microtransactions for his newest park saying that it helps him with some plan of his. It starts off as basic goofy LARP bullshit but as the story progresses things get wilder until a rip into "another dimension" shows up and "another susie" breaks through (she's one of the villains/reformed characters from Robobot. AS looks like Susie just missing a hairclip her now dead father gave her and is wearing all black). You beat her and send her packing back into the rift and that's that. Kirby just assumes this is part of the attraction and it's never brought up again.

(Speculation) All these bosses are labeled "Another Whispy Woods, Another Kracko" etc and they all came through a dimensional rift that got tore open that Kirby will need to go in to seal. Magolor you play as is back in blue which leads me to think that the LARP Magolor was his clone and this was the payoff to his lovely themepark. That's why he was mumbling about plans in that game and had a different costume on seemingly randomly.

Yeah, gear stats and Legendary/Set/skill synergies make an absolutely massive difference. The exponential leaps in power during the midgame are ludicrous and wonderful. Early game you just slap on whatever buffs base stats, but as poo poo goes on you'll find something that increases the attack speed of a skill you like by 25%, then another that increases its damage by 300%, then an armor set that increases its damage by 3000%, activates all its runes and makes it reduce your damage taken by 50%; then another item that makes it effectively free to cast, then pop some poo poo in Kanai's Cube to make it attack 50% faster and reduce the cooldown of your other skills.

I love this stupid game :allears:

Works right now and supports 4 controllers. You do have a USB cable running to your dock but that's $18 and it works already. Your switch will see and identify a gamecube controller and it works.

If you have multiple controllers lying around or plan on smashing with people in real life this is a way to do it.

Kirby freemium game?

On the 3DS. It's a 4player wireless game where you fight various bosses.

Premise is that Kirby is visiting a LARP park hosted by Magolor and has to pick if he wants to class as a Healing Potion maker, a Brave Swordsman, a Slow Hammer user or a Time Wizard. You can get equipment and whatnot to make fights go faster and use AI friends if no ones around (or people off your friendlist).
Real life cash can be spent to get materials faster but if you buy enough the game basically says screw it and gives you more than enough points to play the entire thing with (signified by a tree in the hub). It's pretty fun and has some great bosses but it's slow to start and about a third of the way through it does expect you to toss them a few bucks otherwise the wait becomes pretty unreasonable with a unupgraded tree. The Kirby twitter also gives away free mats via codes all the time.

It's Team Kirby Clash Deluxe if that sounds fun/amusing to you

Kirby's Dreamland was the first Gameboy game I got aside from the Tetris pack in. My grandma gave it to me for Christmas the same year my parents gave me the Gameboy. That game was great; it had a ton of secrets that weren't impossible to find if you paid attention, and the level design was varied and weird for it's time. I loved that game and Kirby 2 so much.

Super Star Ultra is the best sample platter for finding out what you like in a kirby game (if anything). It doesn't excel in any one particular area but everything is high enough quality that it honestly doesn't matter. Like if you enjoy the exploring subgames and want more go for Robobot or one of those games. If you like the subgames that are minigames try dream course or any of the 3DS "Deluxe" games.

It's great in that regard and still fun in its own right.

Do people usually use followers? I never used them back when I played previously and I haven't used them now either because I feel like they kinda just add nothing, but maybe there have been changes with them too?

With the next wave of NES games, are the adding to the library or replacing the current set?

It would be insane for Nintendo to replace 20 games with 3 but who knows anymore

In a year every NES game worth playing will be on the thing and they'll finally have to add SNES

Followers get important later on when you get their legendaries to make them immortal and share damage through the Unity ring.

I almost always run with a Templar, thanks to the passive resource regeneration Inspire provides. The heals/stuns/slows are nice bonuses.

It's not just new stages. Kirby Star Allies is actually getting a 2nd campaign. It's known as "Another Dimension Heroes" and takes place after the base campaign. Oh and they described it to be "difficult."

Man Star Allies will actually be worth the $60 asking price by the time they add everything

(I really like Star Allies personally)
