Paramount will be releasing the UHD of It's a Wonderful Life on Nov. 20. According to the press release, all but one reel of the film was sourced from the nitrate camera negative and the remainder from two original fine-grain positives.

I won’t upgrade because no way can I afford any of that equipment, but I do see Infinity War and Deadpool 2 for 7 bucks at Best Buy, so that’s cool. Own both of those on digital.

I wonder if they started as two DVD box sets that they teased last year, I had assumed that they just became the 5 years 5 films sets. Is All The Colors of the Dark a pretty typical Martino film? I haven't really enjoyed his work all that much so far from what I've seen(Torso, Your Vice..., Mountain of the Cannibal God).

According to reports from users on the Blu-Ray.com forum, the replacement copies people sent away for of the Creature From the Black Lagoon legacy blu-ray set are still flawed in some ways (inexplicably soft picture, waxy DNR). No word on if there will be replacement copies of these replacement copies, but I doubt it. This will probably just end up being a permanently flawed set. It's a shame, because these movies deserve better, and Universal has done exceptional work on all the other sets.

Best Buy has some buy 2, get $10 off deal on a few UHD and BD sets. It includes that Bad Boys UHD Steelbook, so I did an exchange and added Step Brothers to it, nabbing Step Brothers for $9.99. Now it’s off my list for Black Friday. Right now, for BF, I’m thinking UHD John Wick 1&2, Deadpool 1&2, maybe Kingsman 1&2 cause the price is decent and I liked the first one enough.
