It's been like a couple of years but the fanfiction part of The Nexus episode 8 is still one of the funniest things the guys have ever done. Especially Steve and Chris losing their poo poo as it's going on. Also, "Not to stop your edging"

So my friend said there were two subtle Kevin Smith references in The One episode, supporting the Kevin Smithmas theory. The first is that they call out for people to tweet #bigballsyes or #bigballsno, which he says is a Tusk reference (I've never seen it) in addition to being about rat balls; the second is Jupin dropping a Brian O'Halloran Clerks reference.

The O'Halloran bit made me raise an eyebrow too, because although the line is funny, it's not super memorable. Like, I don't think it would be something that would just spring to mind...unless you had recently reviewed his filmography for some reason, and it was fresh.

Kevin Smith is basically the stoner writer characters from The Butterfly Effect but focused on comedy instead of thrills.

Oh, finally a movie I've actually seen. They usually do a decent job of explaining what's going on chronologically as they go along but it's so much more fun when you can remember some of it at least. The One is definitely worth seeing though of course at the time I was quite underwhelmed after the Matrix. Maybe it's time to give it a another shot, I suppose not watching a 320x160 divx might help with the enjoyment.

It's me, I'm the one who thought Sinner was a better song than Bodies.

Let the bodies hit the floor is a really bad song even for someone who likes nu metal like me. But the lyrics work really well with anything that has bodies hitting floors.

Doubly so if they do one of the myriad Evening With Kevin Smith specials. I think there are 5 now?

Zack and Miri make a Porno, which Kevin Smith believed deep down in his heart of hearts that it would be his big mainstream breakthrough, and when that didn't happen it put him in a years-long weed coma. And I would know because I was listening to SMODcast every week at the time. And hearing him yell at his yappy dog, and how he hosed his fleshlight to death.

NONE of it makes any sense and it’s the exact horror movie you would expect from someone that is literally too high. But the general idea of being surgically disfigured and trapped within a giant rotten flesh suit was creepy. What ever happened to that Moose Jaws movie? The horror movie about a killer moose. That seemed like a simple enough concept to execute. I’ve never been a fan of his movies, but he can tell a good story in his podcast and stage work.

I will legit stand by Red State being a flawed but miles better movie if it stops one scene sooner with the siren, rather than the entire exposition scene afterwards closing the film.

Good core body horror concept, but poor execution. My favorite bit was when Justin Long saw the rotting corpse of a previous attempt. The WHM announcement is Friday
