FYI to the quote on my take of Sinnoh Stone evolves, someone correctly mentioned there's no fairy type Hidden Power so Togekiss would have to settle with flying fast attacks for STAB. Still pretty tanky and a strong fairy type though.

I got my Sinnoh Stone today and I for sure want to make a Honchkrow, but I can't decide between my 100% IV or the shiny at 60%. It wouldn't be such a tight decision if it weren't for the fact that the stones are hard to come by because I have candy to evolve both and power both up.

I'm halfway through Mount Moon and have never come close to running out. Every trainer battle you fight gives you some, and you start the game with so much money. I think I have like 5K right now.

No because I didn't play from right after launch until a few months ago. I do have about 250 but I only had one Sinnoh Stone

They're like a hundred bucks a pop tho and trainers only give like 200 or 300 :/

I'll try not to worry about it then, thanks :) This is my first real game of poking monsters apart from an hour or two on previous installments, and it's triggering some anxiety a bit now that you need pokeballs to get XP.

I’ve found Chimecho in the wild twice now. First while I was sitting at the dentist for my kids’ checkups and the second on the way to dropping them off at school. I went back after dropping them off and it was luckily still there. Basically I’m saying if you’re a true Pokémon Go player pop out a set of twins.

I found out it actually sorts by HP percentage, not total HP amount. And for some reason, also sticks Pokemon that do need healing at the very bottom so you have to scroll allllll the way down. Stupid and unintuitive, but intended. :niantic:

The best way to find Pokémon that need healing is through the items list rather than the Pokémon list. Tap on a spray and it’ll show you only the injured mons. Tap on revive to find all the fainted ones.

There is a guy inside Mount Moon who gives you extra balls whenever you're low. Just above the Hiker on the first level iirc. Near the ladder that leads you further towards the Cerulean exit.

Also, in Pewter City, there is a lady with a Slowpoke who will ask you once a day to watch him for you. If you do she gives you a Big Pearl you can sell for P4000. You can do it as many times as you like once a day and it's good funds for getting balls. Also remember combat in this game is super easy and you won't even be battling wild Pokemon so your healing item budget is going to be way lower. Just spend all you have on Pokeballs, you will rarely need Potions etc.

This is what I usually do, but when I'm not in a rush, I want to maximize the efficiency of the potions I use and that screen doesn't tell you how much HP the Pokemon have. :ohdear:

I used it all the time to pick gym defenders, so I dunno.

Sorry, to be more clear, it sorts by current HP percentage, then CP, like so:

Machamp - 100% HP left, CP 3000
Chansey - 100% HP left, CP 2000
Totodile - 100% HP left, CP 800
Blissey - 99% HP left, CP 2500
Mewtwo - 50% HP left, CP 3400
Snorlax - 0% HP left, CP 2800

So if all your Pokemon are fully healed, it's no different from sorting by CP. If you have any that are even slightly injured, they'll be below all the fully healed Pokemon, and sorted by their current HP %, then their CP.

In terms of picking gym defenders by who has the highest max HP, it's completely useless (and afaik, there's no way to actually sort by this). In terms of knowing which Pokemon need healing, almost completely useless, since they're all at the very bottom, and if you have 800 Pokemon, have fun scrolling all the way down to heal them (better to do it the way doingitwrong said to, which is from the items menu).

Just tried again to see if they fixed it (for me I guess) however trying to sort by HP still just sorts them by CP. Very strange.

MR. DOG WITH BEES IN HIS MOUTH AND WHEN HE BARKS HE SHOOTS BEES AT YOU
by Roger Hargreaves

Today was a good day and was brought to you by the letter "M"

Caught a shiny Magnemite and evolved it into Magneton
Hatched a shiny Magby

and I ran into a community day walking buddy who had his Switch with him and he gave me a flippin Meltan box so now I have 10 MELTANS!!

The game rewarded him handsomely for his good deeds as he went on to get a shiny Eevee, then 5 mins later a shiny Pikachu and then a shiny Magikarp 5 mins after that!!

Am I glad I didn't listen to myself when I said "ugh gently caress walking 15k today for adventure sync.." this morning because god drat. (although sadly the fact that I DID make it to 50k means the Sinnoh stone will definitely NOT be a reward tomorrow lol)
