I think Xiang Yu is so big that some of the servants with lower positioned NPs can sometimes miss the damage numbers for him. I remember I used BB's NP and I just didn't see the numbers pop up on him at all from where she was and half of his upper body was cut off so it was quite the sight.Dr Pepper posted:This is the company that still releases Servants with mismatched attack decks. Idk, if Zerkerlot has taught us anything it's that you can have an NP mismatched with your deck so long as it's compensated for through strong skills and leads towards a generally strong goal, it's just unfortunate Xiang Yu didn't end up being that way.

Just saying "yeah he sux but looks cool" like baal did is more helpful than getting mad at people who point it out.  Edit: banner still worth rolling for tho because his SR buddies look really cool. Prince Lanling even gets an unique theme on NP!

the most helpful advice is actually to roll for things that appeal to you. knowing a servant isn't SSS tier OP can result in a fuller view on them but still seems pretty irrelevant i feel like when people go around saying servants suck (when they really just have some questionable design decisions) it's just as likely to outright deter new players from something they may enjoy because they don't yet grasp that this poo poo doesn't matter

No one new to this game is going to remember Xiang Yu is poo poo in two years when the character could've been changed in any way to be relevant or even decent at that point and especially when all of the statements made have been through the lense of relating him to Zerkerlot so it's obvious no one has anything worthwhile to say about him if all we can do is compare him to Zerkerlot. Also, the character is a loving day old and even if I made the assessments about the saber and lancer anything dumb could happen that suddenly makes him relevant so I at least wanna give him a bit of time before I chomp down on the definitive "He's rear end/poo poo" train, god forbid.

I'm glad they finally added the ability to actually see what items do before you buy them. With all the billions of CEs running around it gets confusing some times. Now if only they added a event filter so I could easily tell what CEs I should put into storage in case I need them later.

I dont disagree that there might be something I'm missing though - it just sux that his crit boosts aint three turns long since they'd make all the hassle of enabling him worthwhile. Feels like if he'd come out in NA instead of jp he'd be pretty good since we still don't have breakbars so his kit fits perfectly with just doing one humongous damage burst.

Endorph posted:Eh, they've been pretty gunshy about that and they've made tons of changes to help people get through part 1 super fast, and you don't actually have to do part 1.5 so there's an entire year's worth of story content you can just skip and do whenever. i did forget the permanent ap discounts to story, plus this new follow feature. also fp gacha having the new embers. so catching up isn't that big of a deal even as it's starting to be required.
