Ok, I should have mentioned that I don't watch a lot of movies and have never watched an entire FnF movie (just bits and pieces on cable) until recently when I watched Tokyo Drift because my son wanted to watch it. Furious 6 was on cable last night and my son wanted to watch it so I obliged, and while I can understand these movies can be ridiculous, the runway scene was just unbelievably stupid and dragged out to a mind boggling length. Sometimes you get lucky with Amazon Warehouse. The battery that I put in my 6P a few months ago has started falling off the cliff, so I did the phone shopping thing again. Got a virtually perfect S8+ for $313, but when it showed up, it was registered in November 2017. I don't need to start out with a 1 year old battery already, since that is the driving force for my current replacement. So that's going back. I was looking Sunday night and a S9+ popped up in "Like New" condition for $517, which is a really good price, but there was also 20% off cell phones in the warehouse... so total was $417-ish. loving killer deal. It showed up yesterday almost brand new, battery showed 2 charge cycles on it and it was originally registered in September. drat nice.

Goddamn, phones have gotten expensive. I think the last phone I "bought" was included free with a 2 year contract. I'm very fortunate to have a phone provided through work, but they also will call me all the drat time when I'm not there. So like anything, pros and cons.

How old are you? I'm an 80's kid so that had a lot to do with it I think, it was the best supercar of the 80's besides maybe the Countach . The Daytona Spyder is my all time favorite tho, take some pics please if you ever get one of those in. Some pics of the GTO would be cool too, assuming that's what you have in your shop

You'll need a spudger, a few picks and a suction cup opener. Also it's highly likely that you'll shatter the camera plateau glass (there are screws hiding under it) so you'll want to have a replacement standing by. Of course, battery failure isn't the only failure mode for the 6P - after replacing the battery in November of last year mine only made it through January before suffering the high speed CPU core failure problem that prevents it from booting. FWIW you've technically always been able to BYOD with Fi, assuming you either have a Fi phone to activate with, or an already activated Fi SIM. I've been on Fi with a OnePlus 3T since February, all of the critical stuff works fine (voice/data/SMS) but for some reason I can't receive MMS (either group chats or text with attachments) and the visual voicemail system works halfway, it tells me it isn't activated but it still shows a transcript of messages. It helps that T-Mobile has a very good network where I am, so I don't miss the ability to jump onto Sprint.

I would love to know why MMS on Fi works sometimes when I'm connected to my work's wi-fi, always on my home wi-fi, but if a pic won't send on my work wi-fi, I can just disconnect the wi-fi and it will go through no problem. I had a theory involving SSL certificates but that wouldn't explain why it works sometimes.

I thought that project fi (now google fi I guess) vpn was automatically on, but it wasn't. Enabled that, which also turned on the use cellular data when wi-fi sucks option, which is great because my gym has the world's shittiest wi-fi and it's easier to just use cellular data. Re: SSL inspection, that's what I was thinking, but I work at a very small office and current wi-fi setup is just what I told the paralegal to setup (Ubiquiti amplifi + mesh point). I don't think amplifi is doing anything crazy by default, although I'm not sure about our separate firewall and officer router, I should look into that. I still don't get why that would work some times and not others.

Popcorn ceilings were one of the worst decisions ever made by society. At least things like pistachio-green appliances can come back ironically. We just got our grades for our big project for this semester of nursing school. It's worth like 25% of the total grade, and this school has the cutoff to F at 76%, so it's a big deal. I was pulled aside by the director of the program, someone who I've only met, like, twice, into a side room while walking down the hall one day and she goes, "QC, your map is absolutely fabulous! Graduate-level stuff." I asked her if she had the right person, the weird wide-shouldered trans person with a funny name, the map where I only used one color for all the concepts just so I wouldn't have to include a key, are you sure it was me? She was, I got the highest grade, and this is a bad thing. How am I supposed to slide under the academic radar now?

If you want to remove Artex, it's easier to burn down your house and rebuild it without Artex than it is to scrape it off. Most popcorn ceilings I've dealt with were in old builds, and they were asbestos. Probably switched to flammable stuff simply to keep the aesthetic, which is a disgusting sentence. NOW FOOD Cubed pork or chicken (I did pork shoulder), Black Beans Corn Rice Green chili Like, two onions A fuckton of garlic Pressure cooker Cumin Chili powder Broth of some sort (whatever you like, even better than bouillon is OK). Like a cup I don't fuckin' care just get some bouillon. Put some oil and chopped onion in pressure cooker on "saute," saute those fuckin' onions. Pour like half the broth in there. Add the spices, stir. It's gonna look terrible and smell like farts, that's OK. Add the meat, corn, beans, stir to mix (now it looks like vomit, even better). Put rice on top, do not stir, pour rest of bouillon on there. If you want gravy, add an extra cup of water. No gravy? No extra water. You've figured this out. Pressure cook high 10-13 minutes. Portion out. Put cheese on top if you're American, put pepper on top if you're cultured. Mixing in some salsa is pretty good too.  If you made the gravy version, strain the delicious, delicious extra meatwater out of the food mix, put it back into the empty pot on saute, boil down and/or add a teeny bit of flour or cornstarch to help thicken it. Remember, 1:3 cornstarch:flour replacement ratio if you're using it for thickening. BOIL THAT GRAVY. It may not look too appetizing but ignore that intrusive fuckin' thought and give it a taste and you'll be glad you did.  Put gravy on top. Eat your delicious, delicious food.
