I only got half way through but it did help me realize what I don't like about hbomerguy. It's the combination of surface level takes with fast cutting that's supposed to show the presenter as intelligent and witty but falls flat because there's nothing insightful or funny about the commentary.

Innuendo Studios has another video out, but it's being blacklisted on YouTube or something so he's mirroring it on Vimeo until it works. also sfdebris reviews Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood and goddamn I forgot that they moved the Nina stuff to like, the fourth episode. a lot of people say you don't need to watch the original to watch Brotherhood, but... you really do need to watch the original to get Brotherhood cause they cut the opening pretty liberally, so a lot of the worldbuilding and characters are underbaked for the first ten episodes as they rush through everything to get to the new material. the pacing is like they expect you to have seen the original show so the early episodes are basically cliffnotes budget Hbomberguy has better production values that real Hbombguy, but his aesthetic is a step down. it's like drinking the general brand cola instead of coke that said, he's kinda throwing everything he can into this video, whether it's actually funny or paced well or not, and it makes the overall video pretty much fantastic cause even when the joke doesn't hit, he's already moved on and made another SatansBestBuddy fucked around with this message at 08:31 on Nov 30, 2018 |

I know they weren’t technically great or polished games but I have a soft spot for the single player adventure modes that Bomberman games had from 64 to Jetters. I was always excited to get a new type of bomb and get a new discount Pokemon and fight a new boss. It’s an element of the games that I miss a lot. Oh yeah this guy has popped up in my recommendations in the past. What’s funny is that he used to just do silly animations using Fallout 4 mods but about a year ago he made a video going in depth about how the issues with the game’s engine made making these videos absolute living hell.
