I thought it was about how counterstrike or whatever always had the "random" bullet spray go off in the exact same pattern so if you knew your next bullet was going to be high and outside you'd aim to the wrong place to get the headshot.

I actually read through this whole thing back in the day and seem to remember it being OK. Looking at this one I'm not in any hurry to revisit and puncture that particular rose-tinted balloon though.
