yeah but wizards are loving stupid assholes who poo poo themselves constantly and wouldn't last 5 minutes in Starfleet, where engineers can solve baby problems like air displacement by shunting it to another dimension or making officers skirts/kilts fly up.

All parts of the globe used to experience day or night together at the same time but then we hosed it up by inventing time zones.

Time zones are a product of the Earth being flat. The MCU takes place on a theoretical spherical planet where its the same time every where all the time.

That's why in the North and South pole day/night lasts for months. It's because there's not enough people there to counteract the "time variance" that we created to gently caress up the day night cycle. This is also why in the 1500's February used to be warm and humid. We hosed it up by telling people it wasn't if they were "north" of some fake line. Magellan did more to gently caress up the planet than burning fossil fuels ever did. Truly history's greatest monster.

I know this is the funny pictures thread but I can't tell who is trolling and who doesn't understand the concepts of matter, volume, and pressure. But star trek does a lot of things with the transporters that don't make sense if you think about them for too long.

They'll come for the child porn. The Star Trek fascination is just a side effect, not a cause.

There was the time when the transporters hosed up and they had to put the patterns into Bashir's James Bond video game.
