A good oatmeal cookie is a very good cookie. but what people overlook is that a bad oatmeal cookie is still a good cookie. Bad sugar cookie? Bad. Bad chocolate chip cookie? Ugh. But a bad oatmeal cookie still has potential that can be unlocked, often with ice cream. For what it's worth, I like raisins and anchovies but never developed a taste for pineapple.

I hate actual oatmeal, the texture is revolting unless you get it absolutely perfect but oatmeal in things? gently caress yeah oatmeal cookies. Oatmeal pancakes are also the best, they get a nice crunchy texture, taste better and fill you up a lot more. My favorite cheap breakfast is 50/50 just add water pancake mix and oatmeal, mix it together and let it soak to soften the oats while you fry some eggs, then cook those pancakes in a ton of butter. Top with molasses and some frozen blackberries you got on sale.
