The inks don't just get punched into your dermis and stay there forever. They will shift and dissipate over time. There's a reason why "bold will hold" is a common saying for tattoos.

Fair enough then, the angle makes it look really weird. The scope just looks off to me in the scene now as well. It just looks like it ends right before the end of the furniture.
