Mustache Ride posted:Yeah I initially had that thought too, but my guess is they'll wrap it in some fancy material and it'll look nice. You can make a plastic piece look nice with enough stuff to cover up the 90s. You can also change the colour of things like that easily enough with proper vinyl dye. Actually trimming it with nice fabric and it'll look unrecognizable though I agree.

STR posted:There's also the douchebag that put cutouts on a ZL1 and did a high speed run on a public highway with his GF in the car with the cutouts open, and the side curtain bags popped just from the exhaust noise (plus OnStar calling). There was a HDPE that I attended that had a guy set off the side impact air bags on his 2012ish CTS-V on the skid-pad. The car did not roll or anything. All was fine, just popped the air bags. The car was not even close to overturning from what I saw. This is obviously not the same as the above but that SRS might be too sensitive for track use.

Yikes, the WRX I autocross sets off the crash alerts on my dash cam and the extra stiff suspension jacks down on rougher corners, I hadn't even considered my SRS going off because of that.

I'm probably way late on this, but this dude is restoring a $100 sat for 20 years Fiero. Forums user InitialDave gets a shout out in the second episode for the method of using diesel to clear old engine oil from engines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMfqLtfsIj0 VVVV: Yeah I wouldn't do that neither. (This is an exceptionally bad idea. A person who I knew (Departed this world somehow due to natural causes not long ago) did this and managed to set his vaccuum on fire...... whiiiich was also too close to the fuel he took out of said tank. And ummm.... I miiiiight also have also used a vaccuum on a fuel tank and set said vaccuum's contents on fire. I refuse to confirm or deny further. Suffice to say whatever the case DONT DO THIS)

I have to drop my fuel tank pretty soon to replace a leaky line and noisy fuel pump. My electric impact wrench doesn't have the brushes worn in yet. (even if it did, brushes still naturally arc a bit, just nowhere near this much)

While it isn't a great collectable car, or desired even by Mitsubishi fans, I am enjoying this Aussie automotive teacher's series of videos on fixing up a 1981-ish Mitsubishi Sigma. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UozIVgKfI6E Peter has also done series on rebuilding some old Falcons, Toyota Starlet, a few British cars, lawn mowers, motor cycles and a Plymouth Fury A bonus for me is that he is local to me so a lot of the businesses he goes to I can use as well
