Sometimes Dead is Better is an interestingly self-aware tagline for a remake of an old film.

Are there any other posters that follow this "it's exactly what you think"/"it's not what you think" tagline?

Also, I'm glad that they aren't going with their original plan for this new adaptation. A few years back they were talking about aging the daughter up so they can make her all sexy and booby, and make her the main character instead of the dad. That sounded dumb.

Hold up, what's this? Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin? quote:Cannibal Girls is a 1973 Canadian independent comedy horrorfilm, directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, and Ronald Ulrich.[1] Never heard of this before! Also, this is a nice touch: quote:During a montage of New York City being overrun by ghosts in Ghostbusters II (also directed by Reitman), Cannibal Girls is the film showing at a cinema

Those Nemesis movies are directed by the dude who did Dollman, Arcade, Omega Doom, and the 90's Captain America, he's a lord of great trash. It looks like he's still making movies and... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcGyoZfErAY .. oh

I think Albert Pyun is notorious enough that he should be mentioned by name. If you say “Albert Pyun was the director of this movie” I instantly know a lot about said movie before I read a synopsis or watch a trailer. Odds are you only possess this “gift” if you grew up in the VHS era tho.

Only the first Nemesis movie is an enjoyable watch. The second movie, the bad guy robot suit is the director of John Wick and he quit half way thru filming so it just sort of ends. The first half of the third movie is a flashback of the second movie and the last half is the conclusion to the second movie with someone else wearing the suit. The fourth movie takes place entirely in the alley behind some building. The fifth is color graded to make it look "post apocalyptic" when it's clearly just a random sunny day in LA. Pyun didn't direct it so it probably doesn't count. Oh also Nemesis 1 features Thomas Jane's bare rear end. This Albert Pyun movie was more fun to watch just for the cast he got. duz fucked around with this message at 05:39 on Feb 11, 2019 |
