I have a comp to work on both days and I've never wanted to see our events cancelled so badly. Meadows was at least nice to ski tonight. They have canceled at least one bus from Portland, so your event might also be in some crosshairs. Supposed to get between 3 and 4 feet on Monday/Monday night. Monday is normally my favorite ski day, but I may have to miss this one.

I'm already anticipating missing pow turns because I'm sitting in a company truck for hours on end waiting for crews to take control of the scene on Wire Down duty.

Well I got some boots for the BC. Ended up with some Roxa. Really liked the fit and nice to have intuition liners. Ended up getting "girls" boots but honestly they fit way better than all the guys boots I tried on.

(I did sort of end up doing this in that I worked out for like 20 minutes and then sat on a mat playing on my phone for another 20) I already promised to come up to training tomorrow and the arctic outflow is staying for an extra 24 hours and urrrrrggghhhhh

Fortunately for Portland, the storm came in warmer than forecast. Unfortunately for Hood, the storm came in warmer than forecast. It's still mid-20s up there, but the blower we got over the last few days was incredible.

Where should I eat in Steamboat? Looks like there are some decent options. e: a snowboard makes a pretty handy shovel when someone fishtails into a snow bank and you stop to help dig them out. fknlo fucked around with this message at 01:43 on Feb 12, 2019 |

KJ a total beast... https://www.outsideonline.com/2390051/kilian-jornet-vertical-ski-record I can't imagine doing that. A good uphill day for me is about 5k feet... Granted it involves the back country so a bit different. A am pretty worked after a small day like that.

I drove up to Vermont this weekend, after a couple days on "fast and firm" conditions, today it's been snowing for a few hours and is gonna continue through the night.. 6-10 inches expected. Sugarbush should be good tomorrow and start to get back into shape after the usual melt then freeze session that happened the past week.
