The scenes are honestly their own rewards, varying from hilarious to heartwarming. The chocolates and return gifts can have great art, and are worth more experience than a 5* CE.

I kept all of mine from last year, but since I found out about the archive showing all previously collected CEs in My Room, I'm ready to use them to level up a MLB CE.

Most of this year's scenes are really great, so all the guys have good scenes! Sad for the girls that got theirs last time...

Gotta love how Medb doesn't stop gushing about Cu (and even Fergus) while giving you chocolates. Stop being so blatant, lady!

Arjuna giving you the arrow he killed Karna with is metal as gently caress, also

Is there any point to this chocolate giving thing apart from seeing a scene where a character gushes over the MC? I went to a gallery with Da Vinci and she acted like a spaz and then I got a not-really-a-card essence card that just drops more choc during the event. If that's all there is, I think I'll just stick to piling up the normal chocolate to limit-break this NP-boosting event card and to stockpile the items I'm going to need to pump up my Waver.

She's French, he's English. It's probably covered under the "let's not restart the 100 year war in Chaldea" truce.

Nah she knows how to read thanks to the Summoning System Knowledge Package. You know, the same one that lets Servants make weird pop culture jokes and references.

I think since Jeanne's illiteracy is part of her legend she actually didn't get knowledge of reading and writing as part of the summoning process. Jalter had to teach herself to be able to sign that contract, or whatever.

In Xmas1 Jalter was learning to read/write as part of her attempts to become a proper heroic spirit/servant instead of the weird fake servant/phantom Gilles created her as in Orléans. She wanted to be able to write and sign the servant contract herself* because she likes you to show she is better than her original self. She wants to show she can learn it without it just being handed to her. Or that was my interpretation anyways.

Really though a lot of this is poorly explained (if explained at all) and what is explained in side materials often has questionable translation.

* I think you’re being a bit too literal on the contract, Jalter.

Ever since I had the realization that Avenger Jalter's (as opposed to story mode Jalter, who is dull and terrible) trollish side is more like a small child going through a rebellious phase in an attempt to establish her own identity instead of just being a tsundere my appreciation of her has increased about 300%

Was there a separate scene for Mash giving you a chocolate? I can't seem to find it. I still have her chocolate from last year, so does it magically show up in my present box (and records) if I burn it?

iirc the mash chocolate scene came at the end of the event last year.
