i have been giving it serious consideration. i think to work you'd have to take it all the way and make it a cooperative or something. let the users own the production of memes.

social network but with black background and white text and red and black flag iconography everywhere

no friends, all comrades

also no “like” just “I support my comrade”

no corporations allowed, also no place to list employment

listed union and organization membership prominent

reports of counter-revolutionary activity taken seriously

linear loving timeline

no threaded comments

oh yea and the code is open source, auto-merged from develop to master and put in production any time all tests pass

participation in code (reporting bugs, testing, coding) becomes a prominent part of profile

also if you specifically supported some of what unions and associations and groups might need to organize, it could actually get traction as a tool

hakko fx-888 or weller wes51, both about 100 dollars. i have a hakko 936 that is the old version of the fx-888 and it's perfect. either of those stations will last the rest of your life.

also consider one of the ts100 + power supply kits

god those cost so much in australia, literally twice the price or more
I'm tempted by the ts80 (oops). and also kind of by the ksegr t12 clone things but i kind of really dont want to set fire to my apartment or experience the feeling of mains voltage again

this. I like the TS100 because you can just stick a lipo in it for field repairs

get one of the Hakko 936 clones that are all over ebay. they're perfectly good for the price.

genuine 240V Hakkos are literally three times the price of 120V ones for no reason.
