I got into RATM from hearing Guerilla Radio in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, so I've been listening to them for almost 20 years now. It's just good-rear end music. It was great when I was a teen and it's great now that I'm approaching 30  Sure, a lot of rap metal (or whatever the hell that genre is called) was absolute garbage. RATM was not, though. Just like a lot of nu-metal artists were absolute garbage, but Deftones were not. They made (and continue to make) great music. Just because most of that era was trash doesn't mean there weren't some good artists in there. And RATM predates that era by like 7 or 8 years anyway lmao Of course there's good new poo poo from other artists coming out nowadays, but that doesn't mean you gotta automatically age out of music that was good 20 years ago.
