Interesting video I ran across by a new channel on deceptive demos and how the law shields video game makers from false advertising claims. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXQcMrqWJ1Y It looks like it's from a law firm specializing in digital content law, video gaming, etc. A bit slow, but interesting information and could have some more interesting commentary in the future.

I feel like one thing EA and Bioware won't have to worry about in regards to Anthem at least is that people seem to have become so desensitized on vertical slices that may not be indicative of the final game that when a few people noticed it happening with Anthem contrasting the initial E3 reveal to the final game, nobody really seemed to care. The charges were mostly met with a "Mmm-hmm" and not much else. It was expected at this point. No calls to action, no angry fervor.

That's mostly because EA and Bioware have done such a poor job of covering up how bad Anthem is that nobody's buying into the hype in the first place. Even Fallout 76 had at least SOME hype behind it before the B.E.T.A. killed it.

Anthem’s also dealing with the stigma of “Well, Mass Effect 3, Andromeda, and Dragon Age II all loving sucked, so why should we have any faith in BioWare anymore at this point?” So if you’ve killed your original fanbase, it’s one hell of an uphill climb to try and rebuilt it with... a come-lately swing at the tee Destiny already demolished and built a parking lot on top of.

Quick question: what could actually be done about this? Not defending Google at all, I'm just amazed at pedophiles ability to find ways to skirt around each and every system put in place to prevent them from being the horrible people they are. It reminds me of all those videos of kids doing ASMR, where it becomes hard to distinguish from a dumb kid loving around on YouTube and purposeful child exploitation. Also, will admit I didn't see the full extent of the video, as it was too much.

There are a few weird paths that you can end up if you're fresh on Youtube and start watching popular videos. You can end up getting nothing but old Vine compilations if you're lucky, but it mostly seems like you'll end up with garbage and/or hateful popular gaming videos (even if you haven't watched any gaming), those creepy "kids'" videos, alt-right Sargon-likes, or other poo poo that knows how to game the system so easily that Youtube has to be lying about that poo poo not being a problem. It's just way too easy. I remember looking up guides to games years back when the algorithm was even worse and it put me into what I think was a fetish zone of "bloodiest/goriest deaths in <x> video game" compilations in my recommended, usually focused on female characters. I actually don't want to clear my Youtube cache right now because it took careful cultivating to get it to recommend me nothing but 20% nerdy historical channels and 20% nerdy review channels, with the rest being nothing but Simpsons and Sopranos clips.

I only watch vine compilations, report of the week rants, and theme park videos. My YouTube recs are good. Except with RLM throws a wrench in everything with their annoying Star Wars hate which then leads me to many TLJ sucks videos. I pretty much only BOTW now because of it

It was around the time that the other weird and creepy kids videos got big.
