Going back to that Rage cover, the guitarist in that video is Harts, who I would recommend if you want to try and fill that Prince hole in your life

Just got tickets to see Vince Staples and Jpegmafia next month in Seattle. Should be a fun show since I listen to both of them. How do they do live?

Saw Vince last week and the show was a lot of fun. You’re gonna have a good time.

vince is my favorite live rapper, ive seen him like 5+ times and every one ruled

seeing him on the tyler tour was a real treat becuase while the crowd didnt know much of his poo poo, his stage setup was really rad and his presence was intense, so people were into it by the time he finally got around to senorita and whatnot. i assume its the same setup he uses at festivals since it seemed relatively portable

Vince is awesome but contrary to his public persona he doesn't interact with the crowd or say much at all. Strictly business type of performance.

How is that not exactly his public persona? He's one of those dudes that is like 'yeah I'm good at this and it's my job, cya' (which just makes him more appealing as and artist and performer ofc)

Vince Staples Live is a good time. Everyone that was at the show in Austin knew every song and people were just having fun. Mosh pit erupted in the center for a bunch of tracks, he dedicated a block in the middle of the set to a few slower/ballad-ish songs he has. At my show they ended with a video of Mac Miller at the Tiny Desk NPR show in dedication. If you like Vince at all you gotta go

His persona is an outspoken and witty guy who has commentary on everything. His performance comes off as more introspective by contrast.

Ok whoever wrote Cardi's verse killed it as usual but this Blueface dude gotta be a test to see how bad of a rapper they can make famous and force feed. As soon as 69 got locked up allmof sudden they pushed this dude hard. The same way this YNW Melly dude seems to be how blatantly can they feed into the illuminati stuff without people saying anything.

That was the song I was thinking of. I'm willing to give him a chance but was that even a verse? This common core rap is wild.

Not to get all technical, but the thing that makes those drums sound so drat sweet is more the micing/recording techniques used and the mixing. Micing drums is seriously an artform in itself.
