I watched the first season of Dragon Prince. The animation had very distracting and inconsistent framerates, to the point I wondered if there were technical issues they just couldn't fix. The writing was also...not great.

I gave the series a hard pass after seeing the frame rate choices in the trailer for the first season. It just looked so bad to me. Apparently a fair amount of people didn't mind it, but there was enough pushback that they made the second season much less choppy.

The second season has a much more reasonable frame rate. It ain't shakespeare, but it's an acceptable little thing from the Avatar guys.

If you liked Avatar: The Last Airbender, you'll like the Dragon Prince. The first two episodes are a great example of world-building without relating to exposition dumps (save for the obligatory "taxonomy of magic" lecture).
