Complete with voice over "and other forms of communication can be difficult and hard to use" as guy texts "hey girl dtf??" And dick pic. Then camera pans up to show it went to his grandmother. Cut to upset reaction then face palm.

Hermit crabs have more legs than any of these, and they flip houses to fit their needs, evicting (killing) the previous tenants as needed. They are too badass for that chart though.

They are too badass for that chart though. Except they don't kill snails for the shells. They will yank another hermit crab out of a shell if they can, and then the loser has to make do with the less optimal shell the winner used to have. So at least they're loving over each other, and not the producing proletariat. They'll also trigger a trading war when a new shell becomes available. Everyone wants a better shell, so they all start swapping around in a game of musical chairs until the worst shell ends up empty.

That's a dailykos web poll and it's from today so I wouldn't call it a scientific poll or particularly representative of the Democratic party as a whole. https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/2/19/1835869/-Daily-Kos-Democratic-Presidential-Primary-Straw-Poll-February-19 Also it's changed a lot since when that screenshot was taken.

jjack229 posted:Ah, misread, thanks. "Continents" is an arbitrary word with zero agreed-upon definition. Depending on where you went to school, there are four, five, six or seven continents. PNG either is or isn't part of Australasia, and New Zealand either is or isn't part of Australasia as well. North and South America are a single continent in some school systems. It's a shambles, but it's never been hammered out because the term isn't super useful to geologists and geographers.

There are two continents, Afro‐Eurasia and America. Australia is an overgrown island. Antarctica is actually an archipelago.

There are no continents. These overgrown little islands we live on are pale shadows of their mighty ancestors, which abandoned us to our fate long ago.

It turns out that underneath the water in between the "continents" they're connected to each other. They're basically big above ground mesas.
