Since we're all talking about it, here's my Yarid tips: The biggest problem are the AOEs. You need a way to AOE heal. It might be an obvious choice to field Peach for that reason, but the battle can drag on for too long without decent offense as well. A good compromise is to take Elixirs from the Tadpole Pond shop - you only need to solve the first obvious song puzzle to afford them, and they heal 80 HP to the entire party for a pittance. From there, for a hyper-offensive setup you definitely want Mallow since he's weak to Thunder, and Geno can further buff your party with Geno Boost to make the battle take less time. If you don't want to do the cursor trick, the double takes more damage than the normal one - just use Thunderbolt instead of Shocker for a turn to find out who the real one is and then go ham on him, since the attack patterns are a lot more tame while he's split.

I've sometimes wondered why Arino & Hamaguchi have never appeared in the Gaki no Tsukai specials. They did Friendly Downtown sometime but I would've thought they're popular enough comedians to appear in the actual New year's special or something?

With the new Toejam and Earl out now on Steam, I was wondering - besides Sonic, has Arino done any other Megadrive/Genesis games? And did TJ&E get a JP release? I'd love to see Arino Vs. The Boogie-Men.

From memory, the Japanese versions of TJ&E is literally the same, as in they translated the packaging/manual but the in-game text is still 100% English.
