Saw something new tonight, a Monsters player (Clendening) got an interference penalty for punching a Rochester player in the face while the Rochester player was sliding towards the Monsters' bench. Clendening was not on the ice for this, he did it from the bench.

Is it just me or has the AHL reffing gotten significantly worse over the last few weeks? https://twitter.com/WBSPenguins/status/1103452374012702720?s=19 This was a charging penalty. I see why the goal was waved off, and I could maybe even see them justify a goaltender interfernce penalty, but I have no idea how you call the guy with the puck making a play towards the net for charging. Also every face off seems to take forever now, and I don't think they get dropped cleanly on the first go ever.
