There’s some lovely behavior on display there. I wouldn’t expect someone knowledgeable about crime to release victims’ full names, but I guess he’s the voyeur kind of true crime fan and not the sympathetic kind. I can’t imagine anything more pathetic than expecting women to sleep with you because you have a famous podcast.

To be honest I had listened to some sword and scale but wasn't hugely into it, I tried the new podcast he did, but after the first series on the german cannibal they had an "aftershow" episode and the other guy who did the show with mike was making some really stupid homophobic comments with mike laughing about it, told me all I needed to know about both of them

Which is hilarious because for the longest time they had probably about the worst reputation with the hosts doing weird lovely racist accents and generally acting kinda like wads about true crime stuff when it came up, but at some point they realized 'oh right there should be a different tone between 'these people think they're the REAL bigfoot hunter society and all others are fakers' and 'this guy raped and tortured women for a decade', even if both are in a comedy podcast. Now, yea, they probably are at least tied with My Favorite Murder for 'most solid fans in true crime podcast world' which is cool. Sword and Scale sucked rear end, dude was a douchebag who loved to fearmonger about the mentally ill all being potential serial/spree killers, finding out he's even more of a shithead is the least surprising reveal.

As a lesson in community building, Last Podcast was helped out by Marcus outright telling Trump/alt-right fans to gently caress off, and Henry backing him up. I remember some little thread popping up in the subreddit where the dozen or so CHUDs left briefly raised their heads to complain about how hard it was to keep listening not long after the election. Plus part of Henry's new pseudo-Jungian philosophy mix is leaning hard into "we are what we pretend to be" which hopefully put the last nail in the coffin for his ironic racist accents. They were also willing to basically disown their main Facebook group when it got really gross and bad.

So what do you guys think the Chud Internet's response to Captain Marvel is going to be now that it's been revealed to be even more 'WOKE,' in subject matter than people thought it would and it's still going to break records, make 150 million this weekend and is already being heralded as "the savior of the 2019 box office," by mainstream sources?
