So long as those tasty, dino-shaped treats are worth a severe eye-roll from your wife. I'd say go for it. Get a fancy sauce to mitigate?

A gallon of sweet baby rays bbq sauce. From Costco, of course.

Also I think she secretly wants me to get them because I made that joke to her and she responded "you get what feels right"

yeah that's what I bought last time. I like them well enough.

I had a sample one day that I think was some sort of honey bbq chicken strips that was super good, I'll keep an eye open for something fun. I'm sure I'll get sick of dino nuggets real quick once kiddo starts on solid food and it stops being a joke.

e: basically, what are some quick and easy dinners I can pick up at costco that require minimal effort and time to prepare while we figure this baby thing out? And don't say normandy blend, I already have it.

I like the Costco lasagna. The big single package tastes good but takes like 2 hours in the oven, so I typically buy the sausage lasagna that has 2 to a package because it takes about an hour, and then I can leave half of it I. The freezer until the next week.

Bibigo microwaveable steamed dumplings cook in like 2 minutes plus rest in place for another minute. Serve with rice and some sort of vegetable.

Marie Calender's chicken pot pies.

I buy pre-cut broccoli for an alternative when I want to cook something fresh but want less prep. Same for trimmed green beans. I cut up meat of choice and stir fry them.

The Tyson ones, right? I survived on these during high school. They are so good! It’s really hard to gently caress them up.

For easy dinners, you could get some of the rotisserie chickens, pesto, some kind of grain and veggie, and freeze in advance. The quinoa at costco is really good quality and super easy to make in an instant pot (rice setting then quick release).

I haven't had a chicken bake in probably about 15 years.

Had a good productive Costco run today, full of quick and easy dinners for when the baby's screaming and we're dead inside, but also a ton of fresh produce to take to work and make believe we're being healthy.

And an awesome looking corned beef for Sunday.

Oh sorry no churro. I think it was a dog inside of a chicken bake, possibly wrapped in a slice of pizza. Not sure about the pizza though.

Chicken bake bad

flashy_mcflash
Feb 7, 2011

What exactly is the chicken bake? Is it one of those semi-prepared meals situated near the rotisserie chickens that you just have to pop in the oven? I feel like I've tried at least three of those and each time was disappointed I didn't just get the rotisserie chicken instead.

e: actually one time I got a moroccan couscous thing with chicken and that was pretty good, but I've never seen it again in that section.

That sounds real bad but I'd try it once. If it's a snack bar item we definitely don't have it in Canada because I've never seen it.
