yeah the whole rent-a-goat thing is used in a lot of places around the bay for undergrowth management, and the EBRPD leases grazing rights in some of its parks -- though i wonder if some of that might be related to any stipulations of the land trusts that might own the land in addition to the actual usefulness of it and perhaps maintaining a good relationship with the ranching community
