It's kind of unavoidable given the nature of digimon designs The most successful in the new spirits line are Tentomon and Gabumon. Then you have the "please don't look at them from behind" tier like WarGreymon and Garudamon here. Then there's "that but slightly worse" like Patamon > HolyAngemon. And at the bottom ya got "we made a hot lady and the kibble is essentially meaningless/unimportant so you can just pull it off, also the QC is bad" that is Tailmon > Angewomon.

 It's one of the most successful I think. The only trade offs are Gabumons upper legs, MetalGarurumon's missile pods obviously being Gabumon's feet, and MetalGarurumon's upper body being somewhat chunky, but both modes look convincing, solid, and are poseable, and you don't see large neon signs of its other mode by turning it around.

Frontier's BD Box came out and WtW has a translation of the drama CD. - Takuya is going to play soccer professionally in Italy, and is learning Italian from Izumi. - Tomoki is a freshman in high school and wants to run for school president, with Katsuharu and Teppei supporting him. - Junpei is going to music school so he can become an opera singer. - Izumi is trying to decide between five different colleges she's been accepted to, says she'll settle on one depending on what she feels like later. - Junpei asks her to go on a trip to Italy with him... and she accepts, but thinks it's something for the whole group to do, and eventually talks him into bringing everyone to go see Takuya's first match as a professional player. - Kouichi is going to become a doctor, while Kouji is planning to forgo college for now and backpack across Europe. He jokes about Kouichi dressing as him and checking in on his mom that way a couple times so she doesn't worry about him. - The Legendary Warrior spirits have been checking on their human partners, and have their bodies back in the form of their H-Hybrid forms. Their segment is mostly just joking around, with a bit about Agnimon's speech pattern leading to him taking up Kabuki, Loewemon becoming Duskmon when he gets angry, etc. - Gotsumon and Pumpmon show up at the Shibuya Trailmon station. quote:Wolfmon: You're in the wrong series!

Other than Koichi becoming a doctor and to a lesser extent Takuya playing football none of those have even remotely any connection to the characters we've seen so I'm glad the 02 ending lives on in Frontier. Lowemon turning to Duskmon when he's mad sounds like a pretty funny gag though, as does the sudden Adventure crossover.

Junpei has also had eight years to develop a new interest and get on a career path, so. I wouldn't say it's too close to the 02 ending, honestly. Finished Cyber Sleuth 2. Game was cool, Hudiemon should have been a Mega, won't bother doing the grindy lategame stuff even though I had a hilarious team of Royal Knights, Great Demon Lords, Susanoomon and Apocalymon during the last fight.
