Hey thread. My girlfriend left her dog with her parents when she moved away from Texas in ~2012. Zippy is a cattledog mutt, with lots of spunk, and is an absolute Good Boy. Got a call today; He has an appointment in the morning. He can no longer stand, and keeps peeing himself. It’s time. MsYenko visited Dallas and saw him a few weeks ago, but is devastated that she won’t get to properly say goodbye. Everyone put an arm around your doggos and give them some scritches. All Good Boys live forever.

Brandy and Buddy are up there and said they’d welcome him. Brandy’s preferred begging method of “sprawling across your feet so you couldn’t help but notice her”  Buddy being a boss the night before he died. He successfully punked Hooper (a lab-Dane mix) for the dog bed, the night before his back end went out and he took his final trip to the vet.

so anyway i learnt a few things today Louis was a rescue and had a real aversion to feet, like I've always given dogs gentle belly rubs with a foot but Louis would freak right out. The speculation was always that he'd been kicked, and since he was doubly scared of horses, I made a guess or two. My uncle was talking today and mentioned it had taken him years to admit to mum what had actually happened, so I demanded to know the full story as well. He was living in a rural area and Louis got too close to a horse. Apparently he somersaulted three times before hitting the ground. The kick landed somewhere on his skull. Louis then jumped to his feet and bolted about 50m away before collapsing twitching and shaking. Not only did he survive this, he lived another 15ish years.

 This is the smiliest i have a picture of, shes a very subdued doggo which fits me just fine. I get to see her pup grin when we're walking tho. I have to get a good pic of it some time. Shes is very good at curled up pupper naps pose tho.

So my partners dog CTRB last November and we have been doggoless since. Today that changed. Say hello to the scruffy nerfherder that is Henry.    Baths have been had, snoots have been booped, bellies have been rubbed, hair has been laboriously brushed and toys have been played with. Get a rescue.
