Maybe in this case by linking some MRA bullshit you are a little clueless but then again you always seem to be. How old are you? And are you a gamer?

Goddamn, all I did was say "Hey this video is weird." I specifically asked how people felt about it and specifically stated I wasn't aware of this anti-Brie Larson campaign. I'm very sorry if it annoys you that I'm bringing up something that you consider to be old news. This is the same thread that just had like a two page discussion about rape.

I don't think extra "views" are going to embolden this asshat anymore than he already is posting a lovely video in the first place. If you're super concerned about that, downvote it, report it, leave an inflammatory comment, etc. I do think there is room to have a conversation about this type of misogyny (we have in the past) and saying "so here's a video I watched that has these terrible views and I would like to discuss" isn't some super idiotic thing. Although I would suggest SSB that if you wanted to discuss it you could have given a summary and your own feelings rather than just pasting it and asking for everyone else to watch it and share their feelings first.

The only exposure I have to whatever she said was the red letter media review of Captain Marvel (RLM then proceed to declare her unlikable) and to be fair she was incredibly right on the issue of criticism and diversity in the industry. Her delivery might have not been the best but that doesn't detract from what she said. This is just annoying assholes thinking they have found a soft target and trying to drive forward a narrative. In some cases it works and people lose control of their own brand (I hate that term but that's the best I can do). In short do not pay attention to these sexist gatekeeping nerds.

Yeah, she didn't make much of an impression on me in Kong Skull Island, but it's a pretty underwritten role. Same with Captain Marvel. Larson has been really good in lots of other movies like Scott Pilgrim, The Spectacular Now, Short Term 12.

I blame direction and character writing more than anything with regards to how Captain Marvel turned out to be in her movie and Endgame. Larson isn't the problem.

I don't think it's one note, I think she has a range, which while it might not be the biggest range, there are definite differences between Scott Pilgrim and 21 Jump Street and Room and Short Term 12, all of which she is super wonderful in. (note that i might be biased because I have a Short Term 12 poster hanging on my wall, because it is one of my absolute favorite movies)

i think the script was bad and the whole production process was marvel-ized. brie larson is obviously a very good actress as anyone who's seen short term 12 and room can attest. but there's only so much one can do with lackluster material and a studio keeping its claws in.

Apparently the Russos confirm that in Endgame, Cap does go to a splinter universe, and not our own. They do not address the Peggy situation and they do not address how old man Steve got back.

They do not address the Peggy situation and they do not address how old man Steve got back. He took two extra vials of Pym particles in 1970, one for his trip to Peggy and one for his trip back. Also it is a splinter universe only after he splinters it himself so both the original universe and the one he goes to could be considered his "home" universe.
