Are you trying to tell me "magically relocating the bones in a still living body" isn't the ultimate attack magic? Make someone's spine shoot out of their rear end and they can't fight anymore, and nobody else will want a piece of that either.

Pre-registration for the mobile game's open if anyone's interested. Enter your email in both fields + hit the checkbox (to agree to terms of use), hit the confirm button on the next screen, then they'll email you when stuff's live. Seems you get 2k of one of the game's currencies, 10k of another, and something to do with marisa if they hit the various pre-registration milestones. A game-play trailer also went up. Looks cute. And this might just be me being a worry-wort, but there's a special commemoration book which features a - incredibly risque by series standard Yukari in the illustrations? I can't make heads or tails of any of the book but I'm hoping that's not foreshadowing how they're going to treat the game. Features a interview with zun and the other players in the project as well.

Oh right and I suppose even then promotional materials being a bit lax isn't anything new, what with fighting game Byakuren's...Byakuren, and that promotional picture for SA from ages ago. Just makes me uncomfortable when that kind of art is anywhere near a official touhou mobile game given how, uh, sleazy these sorts of games can be. But no sense worrying preemptively.

Those are just, like, artist signatures. I doubt art like that will appear in the game. And ZUN is no stranger to the lewd; Alternative Facts in Eastern Utopia had semi-official Aya butt.

As much as I'd love to spend all my money to get a .png of Reimu, installing a JP game on my iphone that I won't even be able to understand is way too much work.

On one hand, having steady employment as a freelance translator is something I should be (and am) immensely appreciative of. On the other, missing out on opportunities to be involved in major projects of the series that got me into translating because I ironically live too close to the source gives me a unique kind of frustration. Of course, that could just be me not rubbing elbows with the right people. Anyway, Cannonball probably had to make it clear up-front that it was derivative to earn ZUN's blessing, knowing how concerned he is about making sure others know what was made by him.

This is the only actual instance in the entire series put out with ZUN's full influence, and it was entirely because of an internal justification that actually worked, for once. Given Touhou's otherwise spotless record for the past 20 years, Aya deciding to go with "sex sells" in her absolute nadir as a writer actually works, for once, and didn't feel like an author just wanting to see some tiddy or w/e. The hilarious part is how tame the images actually are compared to even what shows up on children's television in Japan, and the pin-ups were treated how porn in a magazine is; you can't see them because they're covered in an opaque plastic to keep them out of sight before you actually buy the magazine.

No, they were just bound together in such a way you had to cut the pages in order to open them. I've seen that even in non-lewd publications over here as a way to keep more interesting content hidden to promote purchases.

They just kinda happen at random for me and I'm not sure why. All the boss spirits are from the midbosses. To get the jellyfish, defeat the ebisu without killing her spirit familiars. To get the cow, you have to defeat Urumi at point blank range. The chick seems like the one that needs the most setup, you need to beat her while using the otter hyper. As for what they actually do, I’m not sure. They definitely spawn heart and bomb pieces and extra goasts at the end of the hyper though. Also you get a chievo.

The achievements explain them 1st stage: don't shoot down any of the spirits that appear with her 2nd stage: stay close to her 3rd stage: beat her with the otter roar active Think they just give extra items, maybe extend or bomb pieces? Hard to tell efb
