Wait a little bit for WarnerMedia to launch their OTT service, I guess? It'll probably show up there too.

Titans is on foreign netflix but Doom Patrol is not. (at least in some regions)

That service cut the last two episodes of Titans to use for next season. This causes the season to end on a really weird note and is annoying. Titans was an enjoyable watch outside of that.

Since we were on the subject of X-Men the previous page and discussing X-Men movies that people have forgotten about, how has Logan held up with time? Do people still really like that movie? I haven't seen it in a long time and should really watch it again.

Phoenix Joker, the one that actually looks good. Leto Joker is a given that it'll be garbage. Except now it sounds like both will. :/ Just really hoping the script isn't accurate.

But the plot points! The plot points!

Why anyone would read that synopsis and not just go “oh, a character study. Yeah, I guess the Joker is enough of a character to actually spend two hours exploring.” and figure if they want to see it or not from whether they like that kind of movie is beyond me.

Personally my first thought on watching the teaser trailer was “This will be interesting, even if it’s a failure.” Like, I feel like no matter what it’s going to be an interesting movie, even if it winds up not working on some fundamental level.

Your killer track.

Is it supposed to be related to any of the other DC movies or shows? I didn't know the Leto movie was still a thing, is that gonna be related to OG Suicide Squad or post-reboot Suicide Squad?

I don't need movies to be connected to other movies to enjoy them, but sometimes it helps to have some sort of context and DC movies are kind of a mess.

I think Reeves has gone on record saying it won't be an origin story.

[edit] At least, it's not a "Year One" story: https://www.slashfilm.com/the-batman-update/

Matt Reeves posted:

“We’re not doing any particular [comic],” Reeves said. “Year One is one of the many comic books that I love. We are definitely not doing Year One. It’s just exciting to be focused very specifically on a tale that is defining for him and very personal to him. Obviously we’re not doing an origin tale or anything like that. We’re doing a story that is definitively Batman though and trying to tell a story that’s emotional and yet is really about him being the world’s greatest detective and all the things that for me, since I was a kid, made me love Batman.”
