Yes I understand that the reason is that Lorne Michaels is a bigger more powerful name and gets the clicks, but in this particular situation he's the secondary aggressor and making him primary seems inappropriate. Someone explicitly enabling an abuser deserves to be called out, but so does the abuser. Also, from the avclub article: "Ultimately, Kattan reveals, the pair had a consensual intimate encounter. " I don't know if what is described in the passages can be described as consensual. I understand being gunshy and not wanting to explicitly call it non-consensual, but explicitly calling it consensual when it ends with "I was attracted to Amy but at the same time very afraid of the power she and Lorne wielded over my career," seems to downplay the complexity and power dynamics of the situation.

Yeah, I guess I undermined my own point by focusing on Micheals instead of Heckerling. Speaking of which, FWIW here's her daughter weighing in: https://twitter.com/mollieschmollie/status/1133760050491723776 Interesting how both accounts state that Lorne Michaels is a loving creep but in different ways.

Not sure why Lorne Michaels should get less blame either; he told an employee to gently caress a director to get her to agree to a film deal. That’s pretty drat bad.

That news about Paul Haggis is extremely awkward to me because Going Clear is one of my favorite books and his account is pretty riveting (though it did somewhat lionize Crash, a movie Haggis himself admitted didn't deserve to win Best Picture)

NCIS seems to be on in syndication in perpetuity, so as long as Harmon doesn't fuckbwith her residuals, so she should be okay financially, at least. Hopefully she finds work, as well, I don't like the show but generally when I've seen bits of it she seemed charming.

She also accused Harmon of physical assault against her and TMZ's sources say that he began taking the dog out whenever he had a scene with her to intimidate her, but his greater clout with CBS meant she couldn't do anything about him but leave.
