I think you're all out of your loving minds. I also haven't seen Ghostbusters II probably since the late '90s and my opinion isn't as informed as it could be so you've all convinced me to re-watch Ghostbusters II to see if my opinion on the subject will change. And now I know I'm out of my loving mind. Jerks.

If you haven't seen the movie since Smash Mouth was in the charts I feel like you just don't remember it well enough to form a proper opinion.

Yeah he loving rules in that and is clearly having a ball, everyone else just seems like they're bored and only there for a paycheck (which is basically what it was for the four Ghostbusters at least).

Really the only thing that's there to make Ghostbusters II feel different is the combination of Viggo and Yanosh. Other than that it's a straight remake, but because they're both so insane and in their own individual ways, it works.

There are good ideas and some neat things in Ghostbusters II, but it's dragged down by a kinda dull "here we go again" attitude. I use the analogy of soda that's gone flat, there's still flavor but there's also something missing.

One of the celebrity cameos in that video is Jane Curtin and if you're paying attention you'll notice that she's coming out of a porno theater.

For all its faults Ghostbusters II is still a fun movie and its biggest sin is just not being as good as the first movie. But even then that's a tall order because the first movie is a genuine comedy classic. And as has been mentioned, everything Peter MacNicol is doing in that movie is pure gold.

They were used a lot more before a significant chunk of the movie was re-shot.

Also, GB2 is a soulless, beat-for-beat remake of the first with a few decent moments and little else going for it, and I am so glad the principals got that mutual approval clause regarding sequels put into their contracts.

That last Avengers? Or has it already been forgotten due to how Marvel churns them out?

I think the culture moves at such a speed that there are still movies that big, but the window is so much smaller.

I had kids thanking Tony Stark, saying "Love you 3000" and referring to their friends as the Avengers at a recent graduation. MCU is culture now.

Before that? Get Out? 50 Shades? Hunger Games? Twilight? Harry Potter? The Matrix.

It's funny because blu ray.com had the listing up for a few days before the art actually became available. So I was thinking to myself "oh ok nice, looks like a new Halloween steelbook and I didn't buy that the first time around so maybe I'll pick this one up". Then I go to the site today and when I saw it I physically recoiled from the screen.
