I think I just realized that my moka pot americanos always felt a bit weak because the first thing I did after each brew was try the espresso directly before making the americano, and the taste was strong enough to just dull my taste to what's after. anyway, having a coffee.

I'll have to re-gauge everything when I try some actually good coffee that's supposed to have flavours and stuff.
