Gremlins 2 has such a weird place in my personal canon. We had a copy on VHS that someone had recorded off TV. I saw it when I was 5/6 and never got my head around it in my youth. I didn’t see Gremlins until this last December finally. Gremlins 2 is just loving weird and as they said throughout, ahead of its time. It has Raymond Cruz’s first role. The Key and Peele skit about it really sums up what I think the creative process must have looked like. I definitely enjoy it and look forward to its 4K release.

Has anyone else noticed that both never-Trump Republicans and libs trying to own people online seem to go with "you should be mad at Trump because he was unfaithful to his wife with a porn star" rather than "You should be mad at Trump is bad because he's proud of committing sexual assault?" It's almost like they're downplaying the later. Am I noticing something that isn't there?

Because he wasn't talking about a specific incident, the bragging about sexual assault thing is much easier to dismiss as just bawdy talk. It seems like the Trump/Stormy Daniels saga got more attention than all of the assault allegations got combined, and the latter are much easier for people to convince themselves that they didn't happen.
