I have begun drafting my thread for my LX 470 and I hope to post it later today. This weekend I went camping with my two older kids for the first time in the Lexus. Roof tents are sweet. Boondocking is fun. Nature is pretty.

It’s slow as balls especially when my two other cars as a reference are rather quick on their own merits. Drive this for a month and hop in the M3 and I feel like I’m teleporting to my destination.

At the Crystal Mine outside of Reno. Last 1/4 mile a little bit of ground clearance helps.

GentlemanofLeisure posted:The smell of a 2-stroke outboard boat motor is my favorite automotive smell. Is the engine in that thing similar? It will be a couple months before I have it to say for certain, but it sounds exactly like lawn equipment according to that youtube video I linked, I imagine it will smell just the same since burning oil is a part of the design.

For what it’s worth, Doritos burn oil by design, too, just not as much

It's been one year (and 16,668 miles) today since I rescued my Challenger from New Jersey. Sunrise in Rye, NH. Did my first Auto-X event in it last month. Photo credit for the action shots. You can also see Deeters' black Focus in there. I still love it, this car is one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Those are both great, I think I would go with the fastback. The hitch doesn't seem as out of place on the shooting brake, adding the spoiler back in but at the top of the rear window might look good.
