Has there been a submission win in AEW? I feel like they don't bother with submissions at all yet.

Finally, they’re putting the Road To videos on the official AEW Youtube. Always thought it was weird that their best promotional material was going on another page.

They could do this but I hope they don't. Stu is a good wrestler but without a great act to distinguish him, he's, like, Lance Archer.

I think Colt had a point; that's a super dated reference for those of us in their mid 30s plus, let alone some 22 year old. Does MJF just watch TV Land as much as he can?

And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye

And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.
MJF being a dated heel? Nooooooo never

Does TJPW have wrestlers working a lot of other promotions or is it pretty limited?

SyntheticPolygon

I'm not the most well versed on DDT but I know they recently had an inter-promotional feud with Sendai Girls with matches happening on shows by both companies.

Not sure how it would work with weekly TV though.

I've seen a lot of people talking about the Joshi's being a rough equivalent to WCW Cruisers in that they're a unique thing that will help AEW's product stand out both aesthetically and in-ring. That joshi fed belt and the idea that AEW might have defenses of their titles make me wonder: are the Joshis going to be largely uninvolved with the actual women's division for the AEW women's belt?

Like, if the Joshi division is the Women's Tag Division and their singles wrestling is limited to their own indy fed belts while the AEW Mainline women are the ones in the singles women's picture, it's not the end of the world. But if on the other hand the AEW Women are the core of both the women's AND women's tag divisions and the Joshis are basically doing exhibition matches and only every wrestle for their own belts... that I would not like.

i'd hope not. it seems like they're including western/non-joshi fed aligned westlers in with the joshis which is encouraging. nyla rose has experience working the joshi style herself so it makes sense that she was the first of the "mainline" roster to be involved in a non-tag match with them, and aja/awesome kong seems to indicate they're going to be mixing it up. i guess we'll see once the women's title actually gets unveiled and we see who's challenging for it, and i'd like to think we're in for a YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA reign sooner or later. it'd stink big time if they ended up like wcw's luchadors tho, i agree.

Jerusalem

Yeah I don't think they'll try and run the Joshi as separate from the other women and they would be silly to do so, why limit the available range of opponents for your wrestlers? The (now mostly non-existent) brand split in WWE was a big mistake that divided a still small division at a time they were trying to push the idea of the women's division as on an equal footing with the men's. AEW would be foolish to do the same.

noise in your head.

I wonder if the idea right now is to introduce them in their own silo, see how the reaction is to them and their style, and then if all the business interests line up, start integrating them more and more.

These are wrestlers that aren't under contract to AEW. I'm sure there are limits to what you can have a Shoko or a Yuka do.

Hopefully everyone's seeing how much the fanbase has loved the Joshis thus far and they keep it going.
