Oh, yeah. Better than the Model Y's "overinflated Model 3" approach.
One thing I can't abide is that curled-lip front end treatment on the 3s. It's like they meant to put a grille there, but decided not.

Ascension makes a replacement bumper cover that just carries the styling line straight around the front, ala Porsche, and it looks so much sleeker/better:

Not to mention the sportier-looking lower treatment and slightly tunneled park lights.

Gather round, one and all, and thrill to my turgid tales of underwhelming misadventure!
I'm not all that familiar with Tesla cars, but my friend had a Model S P90D and just swapped it for a model 3 performance.

To make a long story short, the PO had gouged the front bumper on the model S and buyers were being difficult with that cosmetic damage. He looked up the cost of replacing the bumper and apparently there was some additional, involved work with re-calibrating all of the front sensors.

I agree those bumpers look better, but it sounds like it would be a headache or have some additional, unforeseen costs associated with them.

That's way better. The original 3 bumper looks like they saw the bottom half of a Sunfire bumper and went with it in lieu of better ideas.

I'm OK with that, a opposed to the original bumper looking like it just smelled something bad, or a curled upper lip.

The discovery of the hover drive in 1968 may have taken the automotive world by storm but both regulators and manufactures were too cautious to completely eliminate wheels

Even when proven reliable in the 1990s it was not until as late as 2017 that wheels were functionally eliminated with vestigial fakes taking their place

I learned to drive in a '94 Aerostar, and now I wish my parents had kept it or sold it to me.

I've always wanted a retired Highway Patrol Fox-body, and a wagon/shooting brake, this is my jam. :swoon:

Speaking of former Highway Patrol cars, I wonder how my '03 Interceptor would look as a wagon. Here's a profile photo to start with:

Apparently somebody actually did convert one of the previous generation to a wagon, but I think the last-gen body style would look better.
