It's amazing how much junk Dee Wallace has been in over the years. Since like day one, she'll pretty much take anything.

Crawl was so goddann good. Perfect creature feature. Tons of fun. CGI alligators (understandable) but STILL used practical FX for gore/wounds. 10/10 Alexandre Aja wins again, the man just makes great fuckin movies.

Crawl is indeed good, between it, child’s play and Midsommar you’re really not short on choices when it comes to picking a horror movie this summer

Darko posted:Yeah, chancing the Crites back into "they dont talk much except for tiny bits of humor" as opposed to "they talk the entire time and are goofball characters" helps it a little bit at least. The show was one of the stupidest things I've watched. Not everyone can be Joe Dante.

I feel like however they bring Michael Myers back will have to be really contrived because that was a pretty good deathtrap they had him in.

Same. But also Halloween is a franchise built around an original film that ends with the villain's ominous breathing so ill never really hold it against them to keep him alive

This should be interesting considering the remake/reboot trend. The producers from the 90s adaptation of IT are suing Warners over possibly being owed some of the profit from the recent IT movies. However this ends up, be nice if it starts weaning away from the trend of remake/reboot. https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3573956/2017-remake-new-adaptation-interesting-legal-battle-may-soon-decide/

Maybe they'll pull a New Beginning and have us think the daughter is the new killer but then oh poo poo it's someone else! Or do like a time jump or something. Or a flashback to when Michael gets run over and the crazy doctor become the new Michael but then Michael kills him but it's shown from a different angle and we see that plowing into Michael with a car really did kill him and that the one that kills the doctor/is trapped in the house is a Silver Shamrock android. Yeah, nothing against it really I'm just not interested in a Child's Play movie at all unless it has Tiffany in it. The only movies out of the series I really love are Bride and Seed and I've seen them all (except the new reboot). I might check it out on a lazy day when it comes out on VOD.

I like that shudder is becoming a place for "genre movies" no matter the subgenre. Like, Big Man Japan isn't horror, but it's fun as hell.
