Sufficiently kickass.
The discussion is mainly a few pages back, but lately I've been playing a mostly dishonorable Arthur run as I kinda wait for the fabled summer patch/update.

I feel like it sorta mostly makes sense. I still have him being mostly civil and stuff, with some rather notable exceptions (turns out that blind beggar you run into--the actually blind one that gives crazed prophecies--has 15 cents on him), but not too much of that. Overall, it just sorta makes him seem like more of a heel as a person, but not as conniving and just malicious as Micah.

I kinda wanna get more challenges and stuff done in this playthrough, but they really do get to feeling really tedious and tiring and not worth it (though I have a bad habit of never letting that stop me from wasting my time).

I remember from my first playthrough that I'm like, right before the Saint Denis missions that wind up with us in Guarma, I think. The two highlighted story missions are Dutch in St. Denis and Mary-Beth at Shady Belle. Aren't one of these two a point of no return mission? If so, which?

Ps: hoping spoilers aren't a big deal for this anymore but if needed I'll toss em in

Edit: Also, i sorta hope I don't keep having to drop 3 bars of gold to change my honor in RDO. I hate knowing I missed out on any story missions, just because there's so few of them, and when I'm dishonorable I wind up taking ages realigning "manually" just by taking care of my horse, and when I play as a good guy or whatever, I keep getting stuck there regardless of the robberies and murders, etc., because I take care of my pony. Maybe I just suck.

Honor is a useless thing in online. I still have no idea what it's for outside of the story missions you mentioned. Really wouldn't worry about it for the time being.

Honor is very easy to earn back hunting and fishing....you'll make it back faster by letting go of the fish but you won't make money like you would by hunting and being "resourceful"

The needs of fish seem to be weighed fairly heavily in this game in terms of morality, so turning a human into fish food is a wash, at worst

I did an experiment and threw a hog-tied dude into some shallow water and he, as one would, attempted to keep his head above the water (he was face down). Along come a pair of dudes on horseback and they approach the hog-tied sucker and stare at him. Finally, rather than have them cut him free, he just gets up and runs away screaming, apparently having been mind-freed by the two horseback guys. A crime report was not triggered, the two horseback guys just kept going after the brief "pause to telekinetically free their npc brethren" and I caught up to the escapee, tied him up again and this time made sure he was able to luxuriate in waters deep enough to meet his specific needs.

As far as I know, hogtied NPC's (and yourself if you get hogtied in RDO) free themselves from their binds after a certain period of struggling.

Ya, he just took too long to throw his victim in the drink. I grabbed some ho and threw her off the dock in blackwater and no one said poo poo as I watched her breathe her last

then I looted her corpse for 8 cents

I havent played consoles since basically SNES. Trying to get a grip with this game's FPS controls. Is there a setting usually run by good console players as to sensitivity? Im experimenting, right now i got it to like 3/4s looking sensitivity, and like a little less than half with aiming sens.

Just try to get used to it. This game has horrendous input lag, no adjusting settings will be able to mitigate that.

You have deadzone settings already turned down to zero right? That is probably the most important change to make, the other sensitivities are really up to you. Only tried first person for a brief time, it felt way to floaty, so I went back to third person.

This game has awful aiming controls no matter the settings just like GTA5, you will overshoot/undershoot.
You almost definitely want lock-on for mount and probably for on foot as well if you aren't use to controller aiming.
Dead zone all the way down and acceleration+sensitivity all the way or almost all the way up.
First person FOV all the way up if you use that mode to avoid tunnel vision.
Auto centering to what ever you prefer.
Try setting the controls off the standard mode and turn on tap assists, it makes running easier.

I'm not sure how they managed to get a casino in their game considering you can directly buy in-game money with real life cash. In RDO you can't gamble gold and you can't buy in-game money so having poker wouldn't be a big deal.
