ironic reason to support #hashtagteampagechamp2019

I am not saying Mox and Jericho should never be champions. I am saying out of the gate I feel like a face who can work every show and doesn't evoke the memory of the competition would probably be better than the alternative.

Moxley and Jericho are gonna be draws without the belt

The real answer is Ishii storms in and headbutts them both.

Ishii yelling into a mic for 2 minutes and then a tiny japanese lady with ginormous breasts translates it to "Ishii is happy to be in america, many will die, few will survive, you will be entertained"

So yeah, I would like Ishii world champion, please AEW.

I've said this before, but some of it comes down to what TNT wants as well. They've got to sell advertising and promote the show on their end..it has to be a partnership. Realistically, for TNT, the smart move is Jericho...he's got name recognition, is on a bit of a popularity upswing, he was in both WCW and WWE, etc. ..he's an easier sell in a corporate sense. On the other hand, if AEW wants to stick with their "we're different than anything else", then yeah...they probably want Page. Unless they want Jericho to have a "thanks for everything you've done to promote us" run with the title, and then drop it to Mox or Page later on.

The winner of the main event is 100% defending it against the winner of Moxley/Kenny, that's going to be the first world title feud on TV

Page thinks he's not getting cheered much now after a dull match with Sabian, he's getting cheered less against Kenny, and standing no chance of getting cheered against Moxley

where does the "people aren't cheering for Page" thing come from?

He got a big pop at DoN and FF, the crowd wasn't into his match a F4F but that was also kind of a throwaway match

Like, if we're judging his ability to get over on one lackluster reaction at a stacked card, it seems a bit presumptuous

unironic arguments for page champ for team #hashtagpagechamp

1. Current singles roster has more plausible heel contenders than plausible face contenders
2. Page has less outside obligations
3. Page isn't 50
4. Jericho doesnt need the title to be a draw for AEW because he is Jericho

I feel like if a brand new promotion is starting live TV a guy who can wrestle every week is gonna be better than a guy whose body and schedule probably can't handle being on every show and an elusive champ is gonna suck

The world champion doesn't need to wrestle on literally every show. That's exactly what WWE does, for your "evoking the memory of the competition" argument, and it sucks out all the prestige from the title.

A. There is no reason to be so insulting over a wrestling argument
B. You are the one who favorably compared Brock Lesnar's title run to Okada so glass houses
C. I have no idea what point you are trying to make other than you seem desperate to disagree

A champ who wrestles every show of a new promotion would be good and I don't see how your reference to Okada disproves that

Its the fact that the champ is wrestling on the card that matters, not that its an amazing five star classic
