I don't see a specific explanation for this, how does free agency work during the summer? Is it a single waiver period then FCFS after the divisions are re-merged together until week 1? Or does it just do the normal waiver cycle through August?

After 1PM EST Wed. It will be First Come, Firse Serve until Sunday at noon. No players will be allowed to be picked up from noon Sunday until the Wed. waiver run.

Why not just do drafts in divisions of 10 instead of 12? More players means you can still give a poo poo about players in the later rounds and that's two less teams to burn through their entire 8 hour timer. The problem is no one gives a poo poo once all the players are gone in round 9. 11 reserve spots is insane for a 12 team league. I get that the point is to draft these no-name schlubs but at some point you should seriously consider compromising for the sake of quality-of-life. For the record, I absolutely don't care about how long a draft that started in the middle of loving July takes, but I do care about the incessant bitching from people who apparently have nothing to do in their lives but the Goon Fish Bowl draft. I feel very bad for those people.

Based on all the  between this thread and the draft room, it seems like a lot of people didn't really know what they were signing up for. Next year I'll explain clearly that the 8 hour timer is for people who can't get on the internet at work, and that if you are available you should set it to email reminders and not sit on the clock That should fix it. 10 team divisions is a good idea that would fix it, but I can't do a ten team draft, I kind of think twelve gets kind of boring

To be fair, a lot of the bitching is more a reflection of our enthusiasm and excitement to be drafting. Outside of the first dude in Frankenstein, I never felt like any of us were actually annoyed with each other. Also, gently caress making the leagues smaller. This is all about the deep cuts.
