Took my good boy swimming today to beat the heat. Once he figured out what was going on, he got super excited!

This was Brandy, and her preferred begging method of “falling on your feet in the kitchen, waiting for food to mysteriously drop” (and it always did, somehow 🤔)  She was a yellow lab, and thought she never had enough attention paid to her. If 2 people were sitting on a couch, one of them could pet her for like an hour straight, then she’d walk over to the other person, throw a paw on their lap, and give them the “NOBODY HERE LOVES ME, WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND? 😢” face, compete with big puppy eyes, ears back, and I swear she could frown too. ...it worked every time  This is also the only pic I’ve got left of her, stashed on Imgur of all places.

Because of the heat, Lando has been cooped up inside a lot except for his early morning swims, so I got him a little sweet and cold gelato treat. He got a 1/3rd tonight and will get some more tomorrow. He loves it!

All three of our dogs are inside dogs for the most part. When I cook or eat in the kitchen, I put up one of the gates so I don't have to put up with the bully gang! Now, if I am grilling or eating in the man cave, I have to fight the sad eyes and moaning

Good, cheap meat, for good, expensive doggos.  You can tell who the new boy is based on his hope that the food giver will in fact give food. The old girl knows from experience where the food will be shortly...

Cleaning lady’s baby sitter called in sick so I stayed home to make sure her kids and Yoko got along. They got along great and now Yoko rests. She ate lots of treats and played lots of games and did lots of tricks.
