I take photos of airplanes. I've photographed at least a few of all the Gulfstream jets - lots of rich bastards in California, it turns out - but I've never even seen the original - a G-159 Gulfstream I. I guess that's not really in line with what most people are posting in this thread. There was also this really nice sketchbook I filled up a few years ago. I wanted to find another one with a similar paper quality - it was great for fine details with a pencil - but I never could.

Two songs that used to play a bunch on JBTV in the 90s and I'm not gonna be a ton of help here, so I expect no one to get either. In the one the hook is the male singer going "IIIIIII" then it cuts to a girl saying "hate you" also there's a bit near the end where it goes "we all fall down" a couple times, pretty sure. Indie song, mid 90s, pretty fast tempo. The other I'd swear had something to do with the phrase four leaf clover used quite a bit, something about taking a handful of goodbye pills. The hook was a repetition of "I made, made up my mind". Both were played a bunch on Q101 during the indie shows around 95-96 also. I have zero expectations here, but if anyone can figure out these songs from my lovely description I will die happy and also probably annoy my wife this weekend by playing them both while drunk.

I've been trying to find this weird hand drawn comic posted on the forums about scientists turning people into flesh monsters that eventually cover the earth. They try to blow up the flesh earth from space but fail. The moral of the story was to treat science and religion as equals or some poo poo.

I sort of found it. It was a book I read as a kid about a giant nerd with a spaceship full of alien monsters and a psychic cat. Turns out it's called Tuff Voyaging, and it's by George R. R. Martin, of all loving people. The main thrust of the book is about the need for population control, and I didn't even remember that part.

A song I heard one time at least 20 years ago that has stuck with me. It was a folk-rock style song, and the one line I can remember from it is "sitting in the back of a long black Cadillac." I've googled every iteration of this phrase a dozen times and not found the right one. If I could compare the style to any artist, it would be Nick Cave, but I'm pretty sure I dug through his entire catalog looking for it and didn't find it.

Pretty sure it was a Nike commercial, started with a dude in a room and he runs through a wall, then keeps running through walls until he meets up with a woman running alongside him, also running through walls, and they start racing. Eventually they get outside and start running vertically up a huge tree. The commercial ends before you find out who wins. saw it once in school and then never again.

There was a game I played on DOS in like '94-95 that I'm pretty sure was just called "Marbles" It was a live-action game, and the goal of the game was to knock the other 4-5 marbles off the playing area into the abyss. You could select from like 8 different marbles and each one had a different special ability. I specifically remember one marble was black and white spotted like a Holstein cow and it could spit cud. There was another marble that had the ability to stop on a dime, making a big screeching noise. It was fun as hell to 6 year old me but I've never been able to find any proof that the game existed.

I've got two. The first is a movie that I caught the last five minutes of on TV when I was a kid. As far as I could tell the premise was that some normal adults got transferred to a fantasy world and had just finished running through some maze/labyrinth thing. They confront the bad guy at the end, the woman reveals that they collected enough magic coins, and they were allowed to return to Real Earth and go back to their jobs. I have absolutely no idea who was in it or what channel it was on but I wanted to watch the entire thing really badly and never found out what it was. The second was some YA novel about a group of teens that were all part of some secret club/society where they all wore masks that were a different color. Most of them ended up being bad people. I read it multiple times and can't remember the title of it and it's driven me crazy for years.

There was a book I read in middle school about some kid on a trip to the desert with his dad who gets teleported to another planet or something. Bright flash of light, then he's alone in the middle of some jungle and has to learn to survive. He meets a tribe of people and starts living with them, then he gets captured by another group and eventually becomes their leader. He lives this whole life out there, gets married to some lady named Meg'haan or something, then gets teleported back at the end of the book. Reminded me a bit of the John Carter series. I cannot for the life of me find this drat book again. I've been looking for years.

A few things from childhood. One is an ice cream sandwich with blue, white, and pink ice cream inside. I ate one in the 90s but cannot find the brand, nor any record of these existing. Funnily enough while searching I found someone on Reddit (who also lived in New England in the 90s) who's had one of these. At least I know I didn't imagine it. Second thing is a toy I had as a baby. It was a light blue two-sided cat made from terrycloth material, with a happy face on one side and a crying face on the other. The original got lost in a flood and I've been searching for another one for twenty years. Also do any late gen-xers/early millennials here remember Encyclopedia Brown videos/film strips from the mid-80s? They had a really catchy theme song, but I can't recall anything else about them so it's hard to search.

I think i hit a limit, but yeah music is always being sorted out, so what you can't find today, is not a total loss, you'll probably find eventually. The way I found the madness song, was omitting the word Cadillac and put "sat in the back of a long black" in quotes with the word Lyrics into google search.
