I dunno how to exactly articulate what I'm feeling, but this latest comic is the perfect example of both "someone going through the motions in order to savor their dessert later" and also "the artist is drawing something that clearly does not interest him". Like. It feels like a mix of a straight male gaze on a masculine body vs. a straight male gaze on a feminine body type deal? It's a really sadly drawn dick. Like compare it to the level of detail on the nose, eyes or mouth in the same panel. Or compare the pubic hair to the hastily-scrawled black hair that's near-indistinguishable from the blood(?). The image is composed to say that the penis is extremely important, even though the one character doesn't care and the other is unconscious. So you don't need the multiple paragraphs of text to know that Mook's drawing a detailed penis to make a statement. But it's also basically cut-and-paste from some kind of anatomical diagram of a standing man. He didn't check any life-model references for what a person looks like lying down, because his references are other drawings.
