This is the newest I completed this morning. That makes track 5.

I will get back to Tangerine Dream/Vangelis style music on the next one.

Edit: I changed this one up a little. If you checked it out before 7:30PM Eastern, please try it again. I felt it was missing something and I added some poo poo.

Not what I expected when you said "dance" but I like it. I was going to say I was getting some coastal highway imagery when I listened to it, then I saw the title, so good job. Can't help but see pixelated palm trees going by.

HA, well, as I said, I really don't "do" dancey/EDM poo poo. If my wife wants a dance album, she's getting one from Oswaldo Von Schnoobenstein.

Oh you'll be able to dance to it, but it's not going to be poo poo requested in a club to get the sexing started.

I was NOT drunk when creating this one :barf:

Just dropped a new (electronic) EP at midnight. I made it after a good friend and fellow musician passed away in March. Hope y'all enjoy it! It's also on Spotify, Bandcamp and YouTube and should be coming more places soon.

Wow man, congratulations. That's gotta be an incredible feeling. Definitely keep us posted with any updates or crazy label stories. Also, for those of you who are new to the thread and have posted links, I have been out of town the last two weeks for work and haven't had a lot of time to update the OP but plan on doing so this weekend. Really been enjoying all of the music people have been posting lately. We have quite a lot of talent in this thread.

Hi Goons, its been a minute since I've posted my music but here we go. My artist name is Marskye and I compose for a variety of genres but it could mostly be summed up as experimental video game OST's. My Bandcamp has some of the games I've worked on. My music mostly appeals to video game indie nerds :v:. I'm really hoping to branch out and push a couple of solo releases later this year, so I've been quietly working on my solo EP.

I also have a Soundcloud that I can proudly say finally hit a 100k plays. That has the current ost I'm working on, called Boyfriend Dungeon. A dating sim where you date your weapons... anyways---this is about the music. SO I have plenty of that up on those two sites. Go check it out! thanks.

Thank you so much for your kind words! Honestly I just throw poo poo at the wall to see what sticks, i've just been doing it for so long that I feel I am lucky most of the time. I wish I could perform live but I've never had the prep or the guts to do it so you got me beat with that! Guys, I'm worried. I'm slipping. Slipping back in to the music I actually really love to make. I completed another one last night for the dance album, for my wife.

It's, I don't know. Not what it really should be for a dance album, but compelling enough to be on the album. I can hear myself slowly slipping away from the dance stuff.

JUST. ONE. MORE track and the album is complete. I need to hold it together and knock one out of the park for the last track of the album.

After spending way too much time agonizing about what name to release my stuff under (god drat it's hard to name yourself without sounding like a tryhard cheeseball) I decided to just use my name so here we go.

My first official EP release, Cylinder, is streaming on Spotify (and most other major streaming platforms here). I make instrumental drony/noisy/post-rock-ish kind of stuff with some light sampling. I like to think of it as a soundtrack for a thing that doesn't exist - basically I'm aping 1990s Godspeed You and 2010s Swans.

I started working on a solo project to kind of polish my shithouse production chops for my band's next record. I'm stubbornly and pointlessly obsessed with the idea of being able to do it all ourselves, so gotta get passable. Anyway the solo project is done and released as of a few weeks ago, under the name Leonardo's Robot, album called Ziggurat Vertigo. Kind of really slightly experimental indie rock stuff with a 90s/early 00s fascination, tryna bite on particularly some Australian bands like Custard and Regurgitator but there's a bit of Modest Mouse, Carseat Headrest, Built to Spill kind of stuff in there as well. Still intimidating sharing it because it's front-to-back DIY but it seems to be getting a good response from people and even though I'm relatively amateur in the production zone - especially compared to a lot of the projects in this thread - I'm still proud of how it turned out.

Bandcamp and Spotify, if anyone's interested. Family Home's probably the track that's the most holistic sample of it:

I have put about 16 beats together and am planning on releasing them as a "beat tape" once I finish the mixing/mastering. I wanted to share one of them for some feedback on the mix, but didn't know if this was the best place to share it. There doesn't seem to be a thread in ML for reviewing tracks that gets any traffic but let me know if you'd rather see this kinda thing elsewhere.

There are some things I think could be improved on this mix, but not sure if I am being objective since I have heard it so many times.
