dota+ channel cancel relics are also broken, working on e.g. pudge's own rot which causes the game to lag spike and crash for everyone they'll probably patch more tonight tho

Was hoping to wake up to some group draws this morning but alas. I went into a mini rabbit hole looking for some fun facts instead because it's slow at work. We know that no player/org has ever won twice, but I was curious about second place and Na'Vi is the only org to finish second twice (as well as winning the first TI, of course). Newbee is the only other org to finish top two twice (Won TI 4, second in TI7) If you expand it to third you can add EG (1 win and three third places) and LGD (no wins but a second and third, or two thirds if you want to count lgd.fy) to the "multiple podiums" club. Chaos esports has a silver medal on the liquipedia page for TI for some reason. I guess for Misery at TI6? But RNG doesn't for LaNm at TI1. While there are plenty of Orgs and Players looking to be the first to capture a second TI, only three Team/Player combos can make it an actual true repeat (SumaiL/EG, 4/5ths of Liquid, all of OG). Na'Vi, Alliance, and Newbee (lol) can also repeat as orgs but have no players from the first team on the roster. Other players (not counting coaches) that can repeat: Matumbaman (chaos), ppd (NiP), s4 (EG), puppey and zai (Secret)

So, as a thought experiment, I looked at what would happen if this year's TI played out exactly like last year's TI, which is to say if teams performed exactly like the team that had that DPC rank last year did 17th and 18th were iG and Pain, respectively a team from qualifiers and the 16th team in last year's DPC, so the corresponding teams are a team from qualifiers and Forward 13th to 16th we have the 7th, 8th and 12th team in the DPC plus a team from quals, so it's Fnatic, NiP, Keen plus one 9th to 12th: 5th, 6th and 15th from the DPC plus one from quals, that's Liquid, LGD and J.Storm 7th and 8th: 9th and 10th team in the DPC: TNC and OG 5th and 6th: 1st and 4th team in the DPC: Secret and EG 4th: 2nd team in the DPC: VP 3rd: 11th team in the DPC: Alliance 2nd: 3rd team in the DPC: VG and the winner will come from quals, you could extrapolate based on regions, which would get you Chaos, but I wouldn't. Admittedly this is a fairly useless criteria to predict TI but, it's loving TI, good luck predicting it in the first place.
