KOF/FF has quite a few good move names: Illusion Dance, Venom Strike, Razing Storm, Genocide Cutter, the various AoF attacks that all sound really overwrought when translated into English...teh_Broseph posted:idk why but always thought BURN KNUCKLE was I consistently lose matches as Terry due to having to use the Burn Knuckle more than is ever wise.

Hmmm. Thinking about it, I'm not sure I could come up with an answer for what my favorite-named fighting game move is. But I can sure tell you what it definitely isn't! I've always been found of Azrael's "Patriot Apocalypse". I don't know why it's called that, but it's cool. Valkenhayn's move names aren't super exciting but his english VA yelled them with just gusto that I liked them a lot. PSYCHO CRUSHER is a classic to the point where it barely counts, I guess. I'd put "filthy acts at a resonable price" here but if we're allowed to include JoJo stuff that's basically cheating. I'm sure there are a bunch of others, but most of the other good ones I can think of seem to have been mentioned. For me, it's not so much what the move is called but how they yell it.

I also liked how English VA sol would yell something like "Hot enough for you?!" during either Fafnir or Bandit Bringer e: WHY DON'T YOU CALM DOWN was another good callout from english SIGN sol

Very clearly Vice and Mature from KoF have the biggest signal to noise ratio in this department because they predated Guilty Gear in having all of their moves be references to metal songs/bands.
