I'm really curious to see what happens with AJ-Ruiz II. From what I understand the contracts were signed, but I've seen other fights where contracts were signed but the venue was yet to be determined. I don't really blame Ruiz for not wanting to defend his belt in Saudi Arabia, I have to imagine the potential for corrupt judges/officials there is huge and they're not going to favor Ruiz.

It seems to me that Lewis has been sniping at Joshua for awhile now; this is the first time I've seen Joshua really fire back. I imagine Lewis feels threatened by Joshua as they are both British and fairly similar in appearance and demeanour.

I've seen him fight a few times and while he's never going to be the best in the division, he's arguably a top 5 guy right now. He's decently technical and hits hard, but can settle into a kind of boring rhythm sometimes.

I watched Yarde's last fight and remember thinking drat, you've got an alright chin, but you don't have the head movement to fight with your left hand that low, and here we are. Decent fight, but way too early for Yarde.

Yarde waited until the middle rounds to go to the body and by then he basically had one round of gas left. But Kovalev looked like he wanted to piss his pants from the first hard body shot he took until he realized Yarde could barely lift his own arms.

He did fine when he was able to establish the jab but got badly hurt to the body several times including in the eight when it was bad enough that Buddy McGirt threatened to stop the fight. Canelo clearly has less raw physicality than Yarde but is a better boxer and fresher as well as a great body puncher which is very much Kovalev's main weakness. Combine that with a short turnaround time and that just seems like the recipe for a Canelo stoppage.
