What? A bloody woman shows up at your doorstep and all signs point towards a mysterious ship having attacked her with the death ray Snout just saw. Of course Snout's first reaction should be to sell her out without question.

Honestly that could have been ink she was "bleeding" and not blood, we all thought she was "writing" using blood at first since Mookie's art is so unclear. As far as we know he hasn't even treated whatever wounds she might have.

3 weeks of looking for the ship and the second we get to it not only do we not learn anything new, but the ship went back to where we started. Please...plot something.

I'm willing to admit this could be a case of how black and white media cannot always convey every detail clearly to the reader. It would also explain why Snout wasn't worried about any injuries. However, I would prefer to continue to dunk on Mookie as an artist so I'll call bullshit on principle.

I think it’s fair to assume it was blood due to being drawn by the dude who literally gets off on blood soaked ladies.

E: actually, I’m pretty sure it was blood until Mookie had the Ink Witch idea and it retroactively became ink.

Rotten Red Rod
Mar 5, 2002

Again, it's super unclear, but I think it's supposed to have been ink the whole time. She has no visible wounds but she was dripping a LOT of that stuff, enough to make people here think she was dead.

But seriously how the gently caress did he catch up with a ship that's fast enough to make sonic booms when flying overhead. And how does it know the witch is meant to be in that hut if... oh who am I kidding it's the only feature in the void that is Mookie's world.

Rotten Red Rod

Oh gee, what a twist, the mysterious threatening looking ship turned out not to be friendly

Who could ever have seen this coming. Certainly not our moron of a protagonist.

Dr. Robotink lasering the hut beautifully parallels the dude getting lasered by the flowers earlier. Bravo Mookie.

Yeah she's obviously not there, the ship will fly away and then she'll come out of hiding behind a rock or something.

By the way I'm guessing the ship is piloted by someone called the "Space Boy" based on the titles from his Patreon art posts. (I'm getting tempted to give $3 and then cancel just to get access to those for spoilers about this, help me my brain is broke.)

isn't that a completely different, probably better webcomic

I know nothing about Space Boy (the comic) except its name, that it's on Webtoon and that it is not by Mookie, which is why I say it's probably better

Rotten Red Rod
Mar 5, 2002

All I know is that there's an art piece titled "The Space Boy" and it's part of a string of art updates that seem to center around characters from this Legacy comic and so I assume it's referring to a new character here instead of fanart of another comic and stop making me tempted to pay Mookie $3 to find out for sure

I was giving Mookie the benefit of the doubt and assuming that the witch didn’t literally ask a total stranger to find a ship with no further context, knowing full well that the pilot wants her dead. It’d be a level of hack writing rare for even Mookie.

Sooooo I did it. I paid $3 to Mookie's patreon to look at the art available at that tier. Again, my brain is broke.

I'm not going to actually share the images, because that's not a cool thing to do even for something I'm an ironic fan of. But here's my conclusions:

* I was wrong about the Space Boy, it was just an unrelated drawing of his son.
* The character who actually flies the ship might be the Girl from the Sky, who looks like a black woman with an afro in a space suit. But it's an early concept image so he might have changed his mind.
* Snout's snout used to look WAY dumber, like just a big triangle on his face. Think Pearl from Steven Universe.

And... Unsurprisingly...

* Almost every single art image of the Ink Witch involves her showing off her boobs or butt through the ink and posing like she's in a porn shoot. She is literally just Ink Bayonetta and is 100% a character Mookie created because he's horny. He's been much, MUCH more restrained with her in the comic so far than he has been in any of the Patreon art pieces.

He says she "has an aversion to clothes" and "I hope to keep her partial and/or implied nudity more natural than objectifying." This is below an image of her topless except for some ink on her boobs.

Not curious enough to pop for the higher tiers that have epilogues on Dominic Deegan characters, though.

Edit: Oh, I missed a notable one. One of those bonus images (unrelated to this comic) was a character he created who is a necromancer in a graveyard reading a book called "Put the Romance back in Necromancy" with "Talk to Dead Girls" on the back of the book.

Yeah. He created a necrophiliac necromancer OC. According to Mookie, he'll "either go on to defile corpses for horrible undead rituals, or he's going to be a harmless pervert with a ghost fetish ;) "

Not ;) , Mookie. Not ;) at all.
